These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of SeasonSort (the “Site”), operated by Buffr LLC (Gilbert, Arizona, USA). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

What SeasonSort is

SeasonSort is a free informational tool that shows what fresh produce and meat are cheapest and in season by US region, and helps you discover recipes to cook with them. It is a discovery and reference layer — not a store, and not a recipe publisher.

No warranties; not professional advice

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” Prices, seasonality, nutrition, and cost figures are estimates derived from public data and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate; actual store prices and product nutrition vary. Nothing on the Site is dietary, medical, nutritional, or financial advice. Always verify prices with your retailer and consult a qualified professional for dietary or health decisions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Data sources and intellectual property

Price data comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service retail reports, and nutrition data from USDA FoodData Central — U.S. government works that are generally in the public domain. The Site’s own design, text, software, compilation, and computed figures (such as our cost and nutrition calculations) are owned by Buffr LLC and may not be copied or redistributed in bulk without permission.

Recipes: index-and-link

SeasonSort indexes only the factual layer of recipes — such as ingredients, time, yield, and published nutrition — and links to the original source for the full method and photos. All recipes remain the property of their respective creators and publishers, who are credited and linked. We claim no ownership of third-party recipe content. If you are a recipe creator and would like your listing updated or removed, email jtwillo51@gmail.com and we will promptly address your request.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by scraping or harvesting content at scale, attempting to disrupt or overload the service, circumventing technical limits, or using the Site in violation of applicable law.

Third-party links

The Site links to third-party websites, including source food blogs and, potentially, advertisers or affiliate partners. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for the content, products, or practices of those sites. If the Site includes affiliate links in the future, we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buffr LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site or reliance on its information. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Buffr LLC from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.

Changes

We may update the Site and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, indicated by the “Last updated” date above.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
